Toto Prizes and Odds
If you have ever been impressed by the number of good things Singapore offers to its residents and tourists, it’s time to add another point to the list and try engaging Singapore lotteries. We suppose Toto is a great option to begin with, as its classical matrix, distinct rules, and the chances to win set at 1 in 54 make it quite easy to win.
Match | Prize Pool Distribution | Odds% |
---|---|---|
6 | Jackpot (S$1,000,000 minimum estimated) – 38% of the prize fund | 1 in 13,983,816 or 0,0000017% |
5+Additional Number | 8% of the prize fund | 1 in 2,330,636 or 0.000043% |
5 | 5.5% of the prize fund | 1 in 55,491 or 0.0018% |
4+Additional Number | 3% of the prize fund | 1 in 22,197 or 0.0045% |
4 | S$50 | 1 in 1,083 or 0.092% |
3+Additional Number | S$25 | 1 in 812 or 0,12% |
3 | S$10 | 1 in 61 |
Unlike many games on reliable lottery websites that we recommend, Singapore Toto is played without multipliers, and there are no features that may let you win more than the basic prize amount. However, there are some features that can make your gambling more diverse, and we are sure you know them well, as they are well-known System plays.
Toto System Plays
To increase your chances of winning the lottery, expand your opportunities with the help of various lottery combinations. You can choose between two types of Systems here:
- System Entry – lets you win from 7 to 12 numbers instead of the basic set of six balls. Of course, you pay more for this kind of bet, but the chances of winning the lottery become much higher!
- System Roll – implies your choice of 5 numbers, while the sixth ball, known as the Rolling Number or just “R”, represents and replaces all the remaining 44 numbers. Here, you are more likely to win as well!
To reach a goal, follow our tips on how to win the lottery and turn to the lotto predictions.
Toto Drawing Schedule
There’s nothing too special in the Toto drawing schedule, and we find the predictability very inspiring. The lucky numbers are drawn twice a week. Your weekend is absolutely free. So you can enjoy spending your big wins there or reading books about the lottery to prepare for the next draws!

Toto Rules in Singapore
Toto belongs to Singapore Pools, a state-governed subsidiary company and the only legal lottery provider across the country. This lotto became its first game of chance, established in 1968. Since then, some changes have been made:
- 1981 – Jackpot becomes progressive and is not fixed anymore.
- 1982 – System entries are added as an option.
- 1988 – The game format is changed to 6/42 instead of 5/49, and the jackpot increases to S$300,000.
- 1997 – Toto is played according to the 6/45 matrix, and the minimum top prize is raised up to S$500,000.
- 2014 – The current lottery format is introduced.
- 2016 – Online bets become available for Toto.
Today, the Toto gamblers are to observe the following rules of play:
- Singapore Pools insists on responsible gambling, so the players can’t place their bets or claim lottery prizes until they are 18 years old. Moreover, online gambling is prohibited for people under 21, so consider it when placing your first bet here.
- The most traditional 6/49 lottery matrix is applied to the game. Try to play following the Pick 6 strategy or take advantage of the six luckiest lottery numbers.
- Seven prize tiers are offered for the lottery, and three of them are formed by the Additional Number drawn automatically within each draw.
- The high-tier prizes depend on the prize pool distribution, while the lower-tier amounts are fixed.
- The Toto jackpot starts at S$1,000,000, so you can still win even more!
- You may try this lottery with System bets if you are looking for something new.
- The Toto draws occur twice a week.
- You can place your bet in-store or on the website!
Playing in-store is a good idea for those who want to be sure that the bet is accepted and processed. You can do it all at the numerous Singapore Pools outlets, and the steps are the simplest there:
- Mark the type of bet. It can be Ordinary, System from 7 to 12, or System Roll.
- Choose the appropriate number of balls and mark your choice on the appropriate panel. Please note that Quick Pick is there for you!
- Complete all six panels if necessary.
- Add the number of consecutive draws and change your writing once again!
- Turn to the clerk to get your ticket, and wait till your win is released!
Also, you can take advantage of a Betslip. It is a special app for eco-friendly players who can use it to make entries. However, you can use it at the Lottery outlets only, so it is not a full-scale app, like, for example, recommended lotto apps for Android and iOS.
If you feel like playing the lottery online, then it may turn out to be a great solution! So, pass over to the Singapore Pools Account page, create your profile, and wait a couple of days until it’s registered. Now, all the Singapore lotteries are on your screen! Thanks to the detailed guide, registration is never a challenge. Again, please remember that you must be at least 21 to place your bets online.
Usually, the lottery players are very spirited in Singapore, which is why the opportunity to keep in touch with the latest lottery news is of key importance to them. Though the list of options is short, all of them are helpful:
- visit the Singapore Pools website for more information. As a rule, the results are known half an hour after the draw.
- subscribe to the SP notifications, choose Toto, and receive all the information without excess data;
- check the winning numbers at any Singapore Pools outlet…
…or stay with us on the Singapore Toto results page!
Singapore Toto Payout and Taxes
If you succeeded in hitting a prize, then we are really glad! Still, we recommend you start working on the collection of your winnings the day after the draw. Though the winners are given 180 days to withdraw their amounts, time flies and lottery tickets expire. However, let us not be sad. Just follow our guide and go on spending your money for good purposes instead of thinking about what to do with old lottery tickets!

Things to Know About Toto in Singapore
- The Toto tickets are rather cheap in Singapore; you will pay just S$1 for a basic entry. The price of a System Entry varies from S$7 up to $924 depending on the numbers chosen, while a System Roll will cost you S$44.
- Toto, the name of the lottery, comes from the combination of two words, “Totalizator” and “Lotto.”
- Online gambling was totally prohibited in Singapore up until 2016 when the Ministry of Home Affairs granted Singapore Pools the allowance to provide and process lottery bets over the Internet.
- There is an unusual Toto feature called Cascade Draw. It is held after each of the three plays without a top prize winner. If nobody hits the jackpot with this draw, the jackpot cascades and is shared equally between all the top prize winners!
- Singapore Pools offers in-house games only, and Toto is on the list. You must be a Singapore citizen or reside there and have a valid Foreign Identification Number (FIN).
- You can opt for four consecutive draws as a maximum. Though it may seem like too few, the local gamblers are never tired of placing new bets!
