Loto Rules in Mauritius
Loto is held under the surveillance of Lottotech Ltd., a lottery provider operating on behalf of the Government of Mauritius. The company was established in 2008 in Ebene, Mauritius, and today it keeps delivering local lotteries through a vast retailer network. Loto was introduced in November 2012. Among the main principles and rules are:
- Lottotech provides responsible gambling across Mauritius, so the age limit of 18 is established here.
- The game is based on the classical 6/40 format. There are no Bonus balls or Super balls here. So, learn the Pick 6 strategy or use the six luckiest lotto numbers and play.
- Mauritius Loto offers prizes in four tiers only.
- All the winnings are the shares of the prize pool formed from the income received after the ticket sales.
- The rules of prize formation are rather unusual in Mauritius. Thus, if you match 4 of 6 numbers and there are no 5-number winners in the draw, you get this amount added to your prize. Also, if you hit just three numbers, you get MUR 100 plus the amount not won in the upper category.
